" Alan Jackson Has Top Selling Christian Album
Of
2006"
Last Christmas, country singer Alan Jackson was thinking, "What can I get
my momma?" So he decided to finally give in and record some Christmas songs
for her, a favor his mama had asked him for years. Somehow Alan's record label
chief heard that collection of songs and decided to release it as an album, called "Precious
Memories." Country radio never played it, but the album sold more than two
million copies. That was enough to make it the number one Christian album of
2006. Alan beat out albums from Christian music stars Third Day, Casting Crowns
and Kirk Franklin.
A British tabloid published an interview with a 23 year old Nashville girl who claimed to have slept with Keith Urban while he was dating Nicole Kidman. According to the interview, the girl, Amanda Wyatt, said her affair with Keith lasted from 2004 until Keith's wedding with Nicole. Now, Keith's publicist is firing back. He says: "Her 15 minutes ended three weeks ago when this story first broke. We didn't validate this fictitious tale by commenting then and we won't now."
