NASHVILLE, TN Thursday Aug.10.2006 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- According to CMT Insider, Alan Jackson was on Leo Carrillo State Park beach not far from Malibu, California making the video for his new single not a short distance from where actor Mel Gibson was arrested last week.

He says he didn't pay much attention. He was more worried about being asked to wade in the surf wearing nice cowboy boots for the video. Then he explained why he was drawn to the unique song, "Like Red on a Rose."

"Being a songwriter myself, I just loved the song," he tells CMT. "Robert Castleman wrote this, and he's just a really interesting songwriter. This song, just automatically when I heard it, just lyrically it was real strong. I love the melody. It's just a waltz, but if it sounds different, it's because of Alison's (Krauss') production."
