The Wrights, Down This Road (* * *) Husband-and-wife acts have a rich history in country (Lulu Belle & Scotty, Wilma Lee & Stoney Cooper), but they're rare in a contemporary climate that favors celebrity couples. In that sense and more, Adam and Shannon Wright are throwbacks, singing inseparable harmonies over steel-reinforced shuffles. On the Rocks recalls a passive-aggressive version of Johnny Cash and June Carter's Jackson, and Adam's uncle Alan Jackson joins in on Leave a Light On. The Wrights' music doesn't have the passionate fireworks of a Tim McGraw/Faith Hill duet; instead, they quietly go about the business of working out a relationship, one song at a time. —Mansfield
